How long does it usually take?

Here's what I do: place egg in pot and cover with cold water and add plenty of salt. Bring water to a boil, cover the pot and turn off heat. Let the pot sit for five minutes. Perfect hard boiled eggs every time.

Of course if this is a euphemism for fore play, than only you can say what is "enough".

Depends on how you like it served..
Now is that including heating up the water or is that 5 minutes once it is at a full boil .

That depend on how you like an egg to be, hard-boiled or just 3/4 boiled.

If the egg has already reached boiling. Boiling it for five minutes would make the yolk hard.

Personally I prefer hard boiled eggs but my husband prefers the yolk runny, in which case five minutes would be too long.

yes because a egg dose not take long to boil because the eggg is cold and the chemicals will warm up faster when it touches the water

somewhat relies upon on the form you like your eggs would not it? For a mild, dipping yolk, that is too long. For egg salad, won't be long sufficient. only relies upon what you like/want out of your egg. distinctive human beings have distinctive tastes, and only as a results of fact its completely long sufficient to get him what he needs, does no longer mean it satisfies your style in eggs does it? So determine he places your egg first, so it has slightly longer to cook dinner, then his, then you definately can the two get what you like, and no person feels jibbed.
