You should put those people out of your head, don't listen to them because they really don't care about you but making themselves look cool. You live your life how you want to and don't let anyone tell you different, because if you do this just to fit in you will ultimately regret it and it will be degrading to yourself and that's something you will have to live with. Believe me that waiting for someone special is the best way cause sex isn't just about the physical or making yourself fit in, its about a intimate love you share with just one person. Don't worry you will know when you are ready but expressing doubt like this is a sure sign that its very wrong and you should find other people to spend time with.

It is very important to stick with your principles. The decision to have sex comes with a whole boat load of worries. If your boyfriend really is into you, he can wait. If not, he's not the right guy for you. Being able to share your virginity with the person you marry and commit the rest of your life to is the most spectacular gift you can give them. That means no worries about disease, old lovers, and old emotional scars. Sounds like a no brainer to me! No one else has to live with your decision but you.

Don't worry about others, worry about yourself. You said you aren't ready to, so don't force the situation, you will be happier with yourself if you wait until you are fully ready to have sex.
If people make fun of you, fine. Just remeber that at the rate most people have sex, they're gonna get a STD of some kind.

Misery likes company. They all talk about sex and may make fun of you and no lie, its cause their jealous. I am 6 years out of high school and not one of the students that gave me a hard time in school matter these days. And those i still talk to, wish they would've waited. Do what's right for you.

Don't feel left out, it is a decision that you have to be comfortable with not what others did. A lot of girls wish they could reconsider. Your first time should be special, not just to do it for sake itself. Be patient, you will know when the time is right. The person you are with should respect your opinion, if they do not then they are not the right person for you.
Good luck and don't be pressured doing something you are not comfortable with.

Forget abt people they keep talking, this is a important stage of your life and dont take it loosely, dont hurry u r just barely matured, and also dont think after 18 we r matured and can do anything, at 18 we r jus bodily matured and only experience makes us matured and helps us to take right decisions, now then u have the facilities of communicating with people and asking their views, hence u must have come to know wht the overall crowd says....
Your life is in your hands.
Take care

Com'on....You will have plenty of opportunities to do this when you are ready.. My advice is do it only when you are ready and when you have met the right guy. Otherwise, it will be meaningless. It's supposed to be a meaningful and romantic experience. Don't waste it on some dude just because you want to be one of the "everyone" at your school. I feel bad and sad for the people who would make fun of you for this. They are so sad...

Do what you feel is best for you and only you. Hon you don't love him, you're 17. You'd be much happier if you waited than to rush right into it to 'fit' in.
