When you ask someone to name their favorite comedy, they'll most likely name a movie that came out before 1990. The greats are all what I suppose you would consider "old";
Caddyshack
Monty Python and The Holly Grail
Monty Python and The Meaning of Life
Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein
History of the World Part I...
many others.
And I'm a big 80s movie fan too:
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Beuller's Day Off
Pretty in Pink
Classics, check 'em out.

LH is right..."Some Like it Hot" is great!
Also try any of the Bob Hope/Bing Crosby "Road to..." movies. They're all pretty hilarious. For that matter, just pick up any Bob Hope movie at all, and you'll be set.
Try checking on the Turner Classic Movies website to see what classic comedies they have playing throughout the month.
