Absolutely, I once worked as an Architectural Technician and was asked by my boss to do a drawing for planning permission that day, I did a rough drawing since a full drawing would take weeks and because he had a friend in the planning department he got it passed the same day where as members of the public have to wait weeks, sometimes months.

The problem of course is that corruption at almost every level of Government in the UK including council level is widespread, in all areas esp housing (Housing Executive) and welfare (Social Security Agency)

I simply think that people who come across it feel they can't win, since taking legal action is almost impossible because even if you have the money (You won't get Legal Aid) the Government and councils have high paid Barristers to make sure you have no chance.

Absolutely. i took my council to court over a planning issue. It went to House of Lords and I won. Cost council tens of thousands. What do you need to know about?
