I'd say anywhere from 2 days ago to 7 days ago. Because 1 day ago is "yesterday" and more than seven days ago is "last week"

It's the other day. Not today, yesterday or tomorrow, Not Valentine's Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Labor Day, Groundhog Day, Mother's Day, Earth Day, Presidents Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, or even St. Patrick's Day. Not Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday ... It's the other day. You know, the other day.

The "other day" means different things time wise to different people. To one who has alzheimers the other day could have been in the 1920's but they are living it as reality now. To some it might have been yesterday.

I'd say in general around 3-5 days, but I say that sometimes and mean a month ago.

Depends.

quite often people mean a day in the recent past - i.e. really not that long ago, but not that recently either. most folks will intend you to surmise that this other day lies somewhere between a while back and fairly recently.

Usually within a week, I would think..
If it's more they would say differantly, "last week" "a couple weeks ago". Also when people say that, it doesn't really matter how long ago it was, it doesn't pertain to the conversation..

When I use that term, I usually mean two or three days ago.
