and......US spies on them too.......

These were compiled by a CHRISTIAN university professor..... Takes just a few minutes to read!!!

1. Israel became a nation in 1312 BCE, two thousand years before the rise of Islam.

2. Arab refugees began identifying themselves as part of a Palestinian people in 1967, two decades after the establishment of the modern State of Israel.

3. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 BCE, the Jews had dominion over the land for one thousand years with a continuous presence in the land for the past 3,300 years.

4.The only Arab domination since the conquest in 635 BCE lasted no more than 22 years.

5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital. Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make it their capital, and Arab leaders did not come to visit.

6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 hundred times in Bible. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran.

7. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to Jerusalem.

8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray with their backs toward Jerusalem.

9. Arab and Jewish refugees: Arabs were not driven out of their homes. Following the UN decision on Partition in 1948, the Arab refugees were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders, promising to purge the land of Jews. They argued that an "Arab presence" would only get in the way of the planned devastation. Sixty-eight percent left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier.

10. The Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab lands due to Arab brutality, persecution and pogroms.

11. The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is estimated to be around 630,000. The number of Jewish refugees absorbed by Israel from Arab countries is estimated to be the same.

12. Arab refugees were INTENTIONALLY not absorbed or integrated into the Arab lands to which they fled, despite the vast Arab territory. Out of the 100,000,000 refugees since World War II, theirs is the only refugee group in the world that has never been absorbed or integrated into their own peoples' lands. Jewish refugees were completely absorbed into Israel, a country no larger than New Jersey.

13. The Arabs are represented by eight separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one Jewish nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost. Israel defended itself each time and won.

14. The P.L.O.'s Charter still calls for the destruction of the state of Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank and autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has supplied their police and security forces with weapons.

15. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews were denied access to places of worship. Jewish grave markers were used to build public urinals in occupied Jerusalem. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all faiths.

16. The U.N. record on Israel and the Arabs of the 175 Security Council resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel -- notwithstanding the fact that the Arabs refused to participate in the 15 nation United Nations Commission of Palestine which recommended partition in 1948 and sought immediately to undo its work by force of arms.

17. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429 were directed against Israel.

18. The U.N. was silent while 58 Jerusalem Synagogues were destroyed by the Jordanians between 1948 and 1967.

19. The U.N. was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives between 1948 and 1967.

20. The U.N. was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western Wall between 1948 and 1967.

Everyone must know the FACTS.

Every country spies on other countries. I'm sure we spy on Israel too. It's not unusual for a country to spy on its allies, especially if one of the allies has a lot of good info.

As for Israel's location, it has to do with its history. The area is the holiest place for Jews. Also, Britain controlled the area, but agreed to let it become a country. Therefore, a government had to be established there regardless of whether or not it was by Israel.

Realistically, a Christian country in the same region would have also caused violence. In addition, Israel isn't in the middle of the Arabs' territory; it's on the side. Regardless of its exact location, it's amazing how many problems could result from the creation of a country smaller than New Jersey.

UN Resolution 181, defined the outline of a settlement in Palestine creating both a Jewish and a Palestinian homeland. The 1947 UN Partition divided the area into three entities: a Jewish state, an Arab state, and an international zone around Jerusalem. At midnight on May 14, 1948, the Provisional Government of Israel proclaimed the new State of Israel. On that same date the United States, in the person of President Truman, recognized the provisional Jewish government as de facto authority of the new Jewish state (de jure recognition was extended on January 31.

they felt that this was there land since their ancestors lived and owned the land 1000's of years ago. also just b/c we are allies with someone doesnt mean that they wont spy on us. the united states sends spies all over the world to countries that are our allies. we do this b/c you can never trust that the other country is being 100 % honest about anything. we have to know from our own people that what they are telling us is actually the truth.

Everyone spies on everyone. That's just the nature of the game. The whole Israel think can be argued back and forth about who was there first, blah blah blah! You might as well ask someone "which came first, the chicken or the egg". When you have territory rights issues, the other side is always going to say they were there first. The US tends to believe that Israel was there first, so they were granted the riches of the war back in the 40's. It also gives the US an ally in an always unstable region of the world.

All countries with intelligence agencies spy on everyone else. It's nothing new.

Israel is the Jewish homeland. They didn't "put Israel in the middle of Arab countries" for no reason. It's where the Jews belong. It's their home. Palestine had been allied with the Nazis during WWII, so after the Nazis were defeated Palestine lost territory and the Jews were granted the territory as a consolation prize for the Holocaust.

Old news, everyone spies on everyone. Yes the US is their ally, but what people put in paper and what people say to their close friends can be two very different things.
For your second question I recommend the CIA world fact book (goggle it) for background information.
Both the Arabs and the Jew's claim the land as their own. The Arabs had occupied it for a long time, but the Jews have been promised the land by God himself in the Penetook (First 5 books of the Bible). Both have many holy sites in Jerusalem.

Israel was founded on it's historical territory, where it was supposed to be. The land was Israeli long before Arabs came there. Also, it's not spying on US. It's one of the strongest US allies in the war on terrorism. If you'd like more info on this subject use your time and do a google search. You'll learn more then from these messages.

Isreal has a top-notch intelligence network, they have to considering their region. All developed nations spy on each other from communication surveillance to undercover operations. As for being allies, an old russian saying comes to mind: trust but verify.
As for why Isreal is where it is, this area has religious signifigance for Muslims, Christians, and Jews alike and no matter who is in power will always be a hot spot for theocratic conflict.
