That is how they operate. They sneak across borders, kill, and hide. It has been going on for years.
Was it allright to try to destroy Israel? Israel tried in every way possible to live peacefully with its neighbors. They are surrounded on all sides with countries that harbor terrorists. From the day Israel was established, the attacks began. The Israelis even bulldozed their own settlements and gave the land to the Arabs, but nothing short of the annihilation of Israel would satisfy them. The suicide bombers got on Israeli school buses and went into the market places. Missiles were aimed at resorts and cities and hundreds more were poised on the border. Israel even built a wall but it didn't keep the terrorists out. When 2 soldiers were kidnapped, Israel had enough. The did what the US should be doing; they went after the terrorist's headquarters and training grounds. These are the same terrorists that attacked us on 9/11 and have attacked Britain, India and other countries. Israel is the only ally of the US in the Middle East and the only democracy in the region. They have a right to defend themselves.

It depends on your definition of "right." Non-Muslims generally do not think it was "right." Muslims may feel that it was "right" because Hezbollah wants to rid the world of fitnah (unbelief and persecution) and establish an Islamic Iranian-type state in Lebanon to replace the secular government.

The Qur'an says:
(8:39) "So fight them (unbelievers) until there is no more fitnah (disbelief or worship of any god but Allah) and all submit to the religion of Allah alone (in the whole world)" ... "And fight with them until there is no more fitnah (persecution) and religion should be only for Allah"

Waqatiloohum hatta la takoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu kulluhu lillahi fa-ini intahaw fa-inna Allaha bima yaAAmaloona baseerun

There isn't a reasonable explanation for the actions of a terrorist group. The problem with that reason is that the different militant groups, Hezbullah, Israel and Palestine have been fighting each other for so long they believe that is the only way to solve their problems. So by their perspective they are in the right.

I know people will be here supporting different sides but it is never justified to blow up children and refugees as a means to fight terrorism.

It isn't right, unless you think war is right. It was all part of their on-going attacks against Israel. That's what Hezbollah does. Their goal is to do as much damage to Israel as they possibly can, and so that's what they did. I don't know why anyone is surprised that there's a war going on there. The only difference is an escalation, but the war's been on-going.

I think, it is wrong, but it does not matter what I think. They definitely do not think they actions are wrong. Any serial killer, rapists, or child molester is sure that he is right, and the whole world is wrong. In Hezbollah case, all the "freedom fighters" brainwashed with Koran extremest interpretation. I did not read Koran, but recently found many references to the original text trying to prove that it is a peaceful religion, or that this is a religion calling to kill all non-Muslims. I think, both points are basically wrong. Depends what you want to prove. Hezbollah terrorists are USING a Muslim Holly Book to find justification for themselves for all crimes against other people.

About as right as what Israel has done for years.

Do you feel it is okay for Israel (US-subsidized terrorists) to bomb children and airports in Lebanon?
