Can anyone give me you experiences of local government corruption?

Federal government cutting funding for the summer programs in our state for the children (Arkansas). Children need something to do and somewhere to go in our state during the summer. We as parents need some place positive and safe for our children during the summer, and for the parents to be able to work. All families can't afford to take vacations nor take off work during the summer, and children 6 years and older doesn't need to be in a daycare setting. They need real activities. The government either cut the funding completely or cut the summer programs in half during the summer, so most kids are sitting at home by themselves, getting in to mischief.

My sister, when she was in a gang in Silver City NM, told me about police officers who would transport drugs, and drug dealers. It radically damaged her faith in the police as trustable upholders of peace or justice.
