RAZR forced phone manufacturers to make phones using slim form factor. There will be many new phones just as slim and have fewer problems than RAZR. Heard about chocolate phones from LG yet? Anyhow, I would wait another month or so for the back-to-school promo when all carriers will be introducing new models.

The Razr we have is a nice phone, solid actually for its slim appearance. The sound quality is quite good, Blue Tooth option comes in handy on the road, the ring tone selection that comes with it is not all the greatest tho. We have had dropped calls with it tho and the reception can at times be less than good. Our provider is exceptional and we've had no issues with these items on other phones through them. It doesn't seem to like steel buildings (inside) and although many cells won't function in them (I'm talking Costco, Wal-mart etc), we've had Nokia's and other Motorola's work just fine. So at times it could have a range/reception problem.
It's one of the nicer phones Motorola has out although my daughter has the one that was replaced by the Slvr and that phone is actually the one I prefer as the sound quality on it is one of the more exceptional phones we've had.
If the Razr has all the options you want to upgrade to and you are looking at getting it for more than just the design of it, $69 isn't bad, however if your current plan is coming to the end, which ours was, you will likely have to extend for another term. If that doesn't bother you, then check it out further. We haven't had this one long enough to speak of reliability down the road and they really haven't been on the market for a long enough time to actually get a good judge of what their life span is, but if you like Motorola, as we do, and you aren't heavy on snap flip movement, it may do you just fine.
To buy the phone off the shelf, you are looking at roughly $3-400 so overall this is not a bad deal. If you've had flip phones previously that have crapped on you tho, consider the flip carefully. We aren't heeding our own advise because we've had both flip and non and the non flip phones outlasted the flip ones by many months Two Motorola's died on us in the space of a few weeks, one lost all will to signal us when a call came in, the other wouldn't allow us to hear anyone who called. The non flips avoid that wear and tear on the up and down of the screen but some of them don't look as nice as the Razr or Slvr for that matter.
All a matter of personal choice, but so far ours is fine and we've not had any issues with it except ring tone and that is so minor it's not really even worth considering as a problem. My husband uses it the most, I use a flip Nokia right now...but when I've used the Razr I've liked it over all.
Good luck

If the design is the only thing you are considering just keep your phone. If you are looking at the other options it has, it is a good phone. It takes decent pictures that you can load to your computer and you can also listen to music, text message and connect to certain sites on the internet. Keep in mind that all options come at an extra monthly fee. If you wait until your contract is up you can find good deals also for the RAZR.

Its HARDLY the best phone out right now....just the highest advertised.....Its not a bad deal for your $69 and the new ones are supposed to have GPS directions, so thats good, but there are definitely better phones out there if you didnt mind waiting until ya had some more cash...keep in mind they are going to trap you in a new contract for that razr so make sure you wont want to upgrade again any time soon
