This 2007 world cup will be so exciting that there are many favorites.
Now a days ODI are turned away so much that who plays well on that day will win. So there is no team that we can say that it can win world cup.
The favourites are :
Australia - Their form is dangerous from a decade
South Africa - Their side has the best gifted all rounders and have good spirit
India - They also have chance of winning it if they get hold in bowling department as all are youngsters (need practise).
Pakistan - They have a good combination of youth and experience. The back bones (Haq, Younis, Yousuf) of batting are very important for their team to get the world cup. Thwy also have a good bowling line-up with Asif firing at the top.
Sri Lanka - Inspite of their downfall after the series in India, they got into the track and are playing nicely.
NewZealand - One should not underestimate this team as this team has some good bowling attack.
England - This is the team that had come to finals more number of times and not winning the cup. They are in deep trouble as their players often get injuries.
Of all Australia, South Africa and India are having more chance of winning this world cup. I am an Indian and I hope India will win it under the captaincy of " The Great Wall " (of India), Rahul Dravid.
Hope you agree with this analysis.
Comming to the Ganguly's place in the side. There is very less chance for ganguly to get into the side.
See recently he is not been selected to the squad though Indian Selectors thought that an experienced player is necessary. They have selected Dinesh Mongia leaving one of the great player, Ganguly out side.
Ganguly is not selected in this type of a small tournament only so I am getting a doubt that there is very small chance and almost no chance to return to the WOrld Cup '07.
Hope for the return of Saurav Ganguly.

India will win the world cup 2006. It has to be greg chappel or saurav ganguly in the indian team for the world cup 2007.

The World Cup 2007 will defienitely be won by Australia, India, England or Pakistan. About Ganguly he has only 10% chance of playing because of probs with Greg Chappel

surely india will win the world cup in 2007. If Saurav Ganguly will play india will loss world cup. Donot join Ganguly in India team.

Either of australia, s.africa or srilanka.
Australia has the best winning combination. Ricky Ponting doesn't know to lose.. and he has a great winning attitude.
S Africa, they are well-known for doing upsets, and Graeme Smith seems more confident than Hansie Cronje.
Srilanka, they are in a solid form these days. They will crush the ODI series coming next month.
India is no where in the competition. Becoz only winning in Indian sub-continent is not enough for winning a world-cup. It doesn't matter if sourav ganguly is in the team or not. But it will create some difference for gud performance of the team. Becoz chappel's experiments are not working overseas and due to that team is losing its strength's like Irfan pathan and others. I don't understand why he hadn't a problem with continuous failure of Kaif and Sehwag.. but he just threw Pathan out of team when he failed to perform gud for some matches only.

world cup 2007 will be won by either india or australia as they both are in the good form.
i don't think so saurav ganguly(dada) will play world cup as he has joined england's team A and all the bcci members are angry with him due to this reason only.

Who will win the World Cup? England of course (Im blinded by loyalty though!)
Will Ganguly play again? Certainly not as long as Chapple is running the show, even when Chapple leaves I doubt India will call him back in, too many bridges have been burnt by Ganguly I think.

it will b a tough competition. South Africa, Australia are the two who are the competitors but above all it will be the blues yes INDIA 2006 - 07 is for blues fifa. world cup was won by Italy and the Cricket world cup will be won by India.
ganguly wont be playing in any matches for india so there is no question of his playing n the world cup and soon he'll be also removed from the county club he is playing for.

Australia - All the way!! Is there another team near them!! Further Ganguly would never ever play Cricket for India again. PERIOD.
