I have a really close friend that I look up to very much. I am 18 years old, and she is 26. We get along great and do lots of things together like shopping, going out to eat, and just hanging out mostly. She is such a positive and joyful person to be around so I love being around her because she lifts my spirits. Sometimes she gets busy w/other things since she has a little boy and a busy lifestyle to deal with. I find myself wondering whether or not I should call her very often or if I should kind of back off when she is busy? We keep in touch and talk nearly every day because I always make an effort to call her b cuz I am interested in how she is doing. Should I back off and not call her all the time, or am I not being annoying by showing her that I care by calling? (she never acts annoyed when I call, and has never been rude to me at all)

O yeah, also whenever I do try to "back off" she asks me why i haven't called recently or she asks what i've been doing like she is wondering why i havent called. LOL

Sure, she has a busy lifestyle, but I'm sure she appreciates hearing from you and knowing you care. I think it's fine to call her however often you want, as long as you both enjoy it. It might be nice for her to get away from her busy life for a bit to talk to you. I'm sure she is glad to hear from you as well

See dear. Calling her everything may sometimes annoy her though she never expresses it. She has her own work to do. But try not to call her everyday. Meet her on week ends. Its better for u both.

Tell her you are concerned about how much time you are taking up but that you really enjoy her company. Ask her if she is comfortable telling you when she is too busy to talk.

I think you should call her every day cause that's just showing you care and when shes busy just offer her you're help.
