Small minded bigoted people who just don't have the intelligence to ask a question, to question why they are racist. You are totally right, man, but I am really sure that this kind of attitude is on the decline, as people experience other cultures more and more, with travel, business etc, these old racist ideas are dying out, i'm sure of it. Britain has done a lot in the last 50 years to combat racism, just look how far we have come, from the race riots of the 80's for example. In another 50 years, I hope that the job will be complete, and racism will be a distant, half forgotten memory, in the way that we now think of slavery or child labour.

i think you are over reacting i think the british are one of the most accepting of the arrival of other races into our country.
there are always a few that spoil it for the majority.
its not so long ago that racism was rife with skinheads and the national front leading the line, but these people seem to have become scarce due to people ignoring them.
so in a relitively short space of time attitudes have changed quickly.
long live a multicultural society

The British people are multi race it's true, then in later years these same British people populated early America and Australia..... we are not racist, but we are a bit pissed at the huge influx from Eastern Europe and former Soviet states at the moment.

All countries are racist.
Uncontrolled immigration is the problem, people don't like changes to their lives, most people want to keep what they have and fear they will loose it if too many foreigners come into the country.
Blame governments for not controlling immigration.
Take a look at the UK's prisons ...10,000 illegal immigrants , they do nothing for 'race' relations.

It's not just the Brits, sadly. Every country in the world has its range of small minded bigots. The BNP, LePenn, White Supremicists, Eugene Terreblanche, anti-Western Islamic fundamentalists, homophobes, anti-Semites, we don't have the monopoly on hatred.
Love to be able to enlighten you but it baffles me too. Where's the harm in 'live and let live'?

Don't know. I think it's got something to do with the way that some people are into hierarchy, and some are more interested in community/networks of equals.
Fascism is based on non-sexual sado-masochism; people go along with it because they're daft enough to think there'll be someone underneath them that they'll get to kick. And they'll belong to a big strong group that'll give them lots of easy answers.

Back thousands of years people lived there. Over ten thousand years ago, people lived there. Since you'd lie about that, I can't believe anything else you say about the Brits.

Racism is a by-product of the nation state, and of the need for the more disadvantaged members of any community to find another group who they can look down on or abuse.

People can be whatever they like, what law says you have to like someone or a particular race, the word racist is much overused
