depends on what you are using as a guide. According to AFI, the most inspiring movie of all time is It's a Wonderful Life. However, it also lists Citizen Kane as the Greatest movie of all time.

Right now with the box office figures it has to be the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest..it just passed the box office figures for the first movie in just 17 days and so I would say that one.

In terms of admissions, people who've seen it, I read once that King Kong (1933 version) was seen by more people around the world than any other movie since.
Also, if you adjust for inflation, Gone With the Wind has made more money than any other in the USA.
