I have been to MANY cities in the U.S. and would have to say that my choice would be either somewhere in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, or somewhere in southern Utah. Both places are amongst the most beautiful and breathtaking places I have ever seen in my life!!! Sorry that I could not narrow it down to 1 city for you.

Portland, Oregon. Why? Powell's City of Books, lots of Asian and seafood restaurants, great parks, lots of greenery. What's a little rain - at least it keeps things cool.
