whats the difference between gel nails and acrylic?

The material, acrylic is actually acrylic and gel is a gel. The difference is the look, many say gel is more natural and less damaging, it is also more expensive.

acrylic is more toxic and damages your nail bed.gel is gentle and looks a hell of alot more natural.it is harder so more difficult to damage.you can keep them on for months longer than acrylic.they are only about $5 or $10 more.
