Loosely based on the 1952 movie "Red Ball Express," "Roll Out" was about a US Military Transportation Unit, whose staff was mostly African Americans that delivered supplies to French Allies during World War II. "Roll Out" was an unsuccessful attempt to capitalize on the success of "M*A*S*H."
Get Christie Love followed the adventures of a female, Undercover Police Detective on the Los Angeles Police Department (Special Investigations Division). The pilot was an ABC Movie Of The Week(1-22-74) and based on the novel The Ledger by Dorothy Uhnak.
The series, set at a Navy Recruit Training Station in San Diego, presents a satirical look at United States Navy life as seen through the expereinces of Chief Petty Officer Otto Sharkey, an acid-tongued, twenty-four-year veteran who wages his own private war against the changes that constitute the new Navy.
St. Eligius Hospital in South Boston was not exactly the world's best health care center. Despite its flaws, it featured some of the most caring doctors and nurses you could ever meet. Led by Dr. Donald Westphall (and later by Dr. Benjamin Gideon), St. Eligius became a sanctuary for the underdog and the downtrodden. "St. Elsewhere" ran on NBC for six seasons.
