In my opinion, the Arab countries themselves. If the Arab world doesn't want the US, Israel, and other countries to bomb their cities or kill their people, then it behooves them to crack down on such organizations themselves. The more terrorists strike, the more likely that thousands of Arabs will die. And sometimes, we even attack the wrong countries (see Iraq). I guarantee that if a paramilitary organization from the US were to attack another country, the US military itself would take care of the problem immediately. Why doesn't the Arab world do likewise?

Doesn't it just make sense, for the sake of their children, to hunt down terrorists within their own countries?

Islam does not equal terrorism. That's just a plain ignorant statement and does nothing to improve the situation.

John J - agreed. For the US or anyone else to fight terrorism within the borders of an Arab country actually INCREASES the number of terrorists (and future terrorists that see their relatives die at the hands of "westerners").

lottyjoy - in regards to Hezbollah's humanitarian efforts - Mafia gansters are/were known to do a lot of nice things for their neighborhoods too. It still does not erase that fact that they're criminals.

avis - Al qaida's main complaint, and the reason for the 9/11 attack, is that there are Westerners in Saudi. Westerners that are there at the behest of the Saudi government. Do you call this "defending their country"? No, it's stupid religious fundamentalism.

It's not a matter of defense, it's a matter of ideology.

SEE THE BIG PICTURE!!

I think you are making a good point. I agree that each country should eradicate terrorism on their own turf first.
The complication occurs when a terrorist organization like Hezbollah also has another role in their community. I understand they act as a social service agency. This relieves the official government of some of the need to support the poor people in Lebanon. The official government is not financially able to take on as much social work as is needed, so they need someone else to pick up the slack, which Hezbollah does. In this way, there's symbiosis between the outlaws and the good guys.

The arab countries cannot fight what they secretly sponsor, can they? Lets be clear, Islam is terrorism. Muslims try to differentiate themselves between good or moderate muslims and the radical extremists. They all get their direction from the same book, the Qu'ran, and it is clear in its teachings. Most westerners should read it for themselves to understand why muslims are doing what they are doing. In reading it people will understand there really are no moderate or extreme muslims, they are one and the same. The so called moderates were cheering in the streets on 9/11, we all saw it on CNN.

So saying Arabs should fight terror is really a ridiculous statement. Arabs are a major part of terrorism. This is a holy war, a jihad declared against first and foremost the Jews, and secondarily the West. Until western civilizations really see's the true enemy how can it ever defeat it?

The real terrorists are wittin many governments in the world, like Usa, Canada, France, Great Britain, Israel, China, Russia, India and more. They are the one who form the U.N.. They are all actives members of secrets societies, like Free-Masonery, the Death clan, the Shriners, the Illuminatis and more. Since ancient egypt, they control the world's events, forging the enslavement of humanity. They are called the New World Order. The first attempt to this New World Order was Hitler. Bush's grand-father and the british crown financed i'm. It is well documented in many reliables papers like New York Times, Washington post, and more. In fact they financed both side of WW2. There is so much more to know, investigate far further more. Those links may help but there is more.

War are not like it seems to be.
Hate is not what it seem to be.
They are created to enslave us.

Arab's are as guilty as the Israeli's. They both promote religious extremism by terrorist acts. The US cannot keep funding the Israeli's if the world is serious about ending the fighting.

The US has done its share of brainwashing as well. Its a disappointing time in the world. Hope is minimal.

I'm not a New World Order propagandists either. That's some grand brainwashing also.

I agree in part with you. It is better to destroy terrorism from within rather than have an outside force strike and attempt to destroy terrorism. I do think that outside assistance is necessary though, as many countries where terrorists set up "bases" are poor and don't have the manpower to actually enforce governmental control.

Unfortunately, what W & Co. are doing is going in and attacking randomly and just giving the terrorists one more thing to point at and say "Look at what they do to our people!"

On Beirut Al-Manar TV Lebanese President Emile Lahhud expressed his support for Hezbollah leader, Al-Sayyid [Hasan] Nasrallah. The Lebanese government could have chosen to expel Hezbollah. It did not.

If someone broke into your house you would probably try to take matters in your own hands or call the proper law enforcement agencies, but you would also be vigalant so that it would not happen again, right? Now put terrorism on a larger scale, do you still think we should stay out of it.

This war on terror should be fought by EVERYONE who isn't a terrorist...

This is a global problem because the extremist Islamic fascists have already stated that they want to wipe the US and Israel off the face of the Earth. That means you, me, and everyone we know dead!
