Australia is neither....

Australia is a young country still developing its own 'personality' though we are bombarded with american culture via the media we still maintain our own uniqueness.

I hope we never become the biggest state of USA as some would have us become..

Our legal system, our spelling, and many other cultural features are the same as Englands or based on the English system.

Many of our values, beliefs and customs are more English than American.

Things like eating turkey and cranberry sauce for Christmas are very new to Australia, traditionally we have eaten pork, ham, beef, chicken and lamb instead.

Our youth have adopted many cultural habits from the over americanisation of our media which to me is very sad.

Not all of Australia is troical only the very top of our country is tropical, it gets colder the further south you travel so in that respect we are the opposite of USA.
