If you had a 2nd chance to be with your true love, "the one that got away", how do you think you'd be different? What things would you do differently?

how would your life be different NOW... if you were with the love of your life right now, what would you do differently than you are doing right now?

Wow...this question, for me, is much deeper than you can imagine.

The love of my life died last year, after an extremely short term, of an extremely rare form of Cancer. We met online, and it had gotten to the point of him asking me to move to his state, to be with him. Scared, I waited almost two years to decide to go. I had just finished negotiations with my employer about a transfer, and was trying to figure out what to with my house, when he was diagnosed.

If I had just gone when he asked, I'd be living in a beautiful house, a couple of blocks from the beach, in St Petersburg Florida, with a beautiful step-daughter, a kooky step-son and his wife and son, nearby.

Still though...nothing can change the loss of my sexy Italian with the great smile, the sparkly eyes, and the warm hands

I'd be more aware of what was going on and keep open lines of communication. I was in a relationship once that started off light and lasted a couple of months, but things took off quickly. I disappeared without saying goodbye.

If I had just opened my mouth and expressed my feelings, and if she had done the same thing...who knows, but it would've been worth a shot. You can't hit a home run if you don't step up to the plate, right? If you strike out, at least you gave it a shot.

How would I live my life now? Make sure communication lines are open and my feelings expressed. Make sure other's have the opportunity to express their feelings as well. I also wouldn't have as many questions in my head as I do now.
