the reason the goverment will not ever stop making pennies is because of taxes and the goverment lives to collect taxes and all taxes are based on a cent the all mighty penny so dont worry the penny is here to stay..

no, we don't live in a base 5 system, so we would have all sorts of issues rounding up. Unless of course, they got rid of the nickel too. Then we would have a new penny, only it would be called a dime.

yes they should stop. pennies are a wasteful, bad idea.
everything could go on better without them.
australia doesn't have them and it works great.
we have progressed to the point where pennies are not useful.

well ,,, I think they should ban the making of these stupid dollar store toys & most products that break before you get uhm home,,,,, and ban the making of any crappy product that use up precious time,,energy.... Think about it,,,,,, how far must one trucker drive ,,,and how much gasoline must he use in order to get these crappy products on the shelf..... waist waist waist...It all go's in the trash.... Which creates more polution ......It sno wonder the Ozone is almost gone..........But the pennie,,,, no,,,we need the pennie dude...........
