I though it was great. I watched it again a few months ago, and realized it was very 80's. But is was cute, good graphics, decent story line, and a good romance. There was even some sibling rivalry to boot!

P.S. btw, Juan Valdez, you are thinking of Star Wars. This was the one where the family lives in the mobile home park, and you see the kid playing a video game "Last Starfighter" Except it wasn't a game, it was used to recruit a new starfighter for the alliance (or whatever it was called). There was a robot clone who looked like the teenager to protect the family. Some lizard guy was his gunner. the Teen singlehanded saves the universe. Then at the very end of the movie, he takes the rocketship back to the mobile home park to pick up his girlfirend, and they go together into the universe to live happily ever after. After of course, the teen and his brother make peace. Just a good feel- good movie.

Robert Preston as a con-man... you can't do better than that. Then add Catherine Mary Stewart -- great movie.
For the "Whatever Happened to?" factor, Lance Guest is still acting... he was on House not too long ago.

By the Way:
Catherine Mary Stewart is still acting.
She's going to be in a new film, a horror flick called The Attic.

YES! We had an arcade at our mall and when ever I'd walk by the door of it I would wonder if it were possible. Saving a planet from destruction because I was the only one with some mad trigger skills? I'll take that.

Is Last Star Figher the one about the boy who finds out his father is really this evil man who wears all black, and they have a big fight with swords of light and he gets his arm cut off? Because if so, then no, I haven't seen it.

I only remember that one because I think it was the one playing at the drive-in on the 1985 movie 'Explorers'
