I wish I knew....I am Republican and it sickens me when I hear right wing republicans rant on about issues. The sense of entitlement amazes me. I think a little humility would go a long way with our party.

People that are smug usually don't have the facts or have to manipulate the truth so they use smug or aggressive tactics to get there point across. If you know what you are taking about then you can be polite and get you point across without using tricks.

Because they think they have their finger on the pulse of the world & are sooo smart. What they feel is their own heart beat & that is all they think about...themselves. It is frightening to think of the things they are currently doing to this country and world.
They are usually ultra religious, & think everyone should think their way. They do not support intelligent choice, or advances in medical technology.
But, they will be the first to tell you...and so very often, how smart they are.

They can't help but smile when people can't get over the 2000 and 2004 elections, how the left does nothing but complain, and how those complaints often don't accompany workable solutions to the problem.
