Do you know how long you should wait after your missed period to get blood work done to confirm a pregnancy?

You can take a urine test with in a couple of days... the kind that you get at the store. A blood test can tell you around the same time. Call your doctor's office and they can give you a more specific time table.

Now a days HPT's are as accurate as blood tests, but if you decide to go for a blood test I recommend you to wait after 3 days after your missed period because if it comes out to be negative you will have to retest in another week so, it is best to wait until after your missed period.

Generally, you only have to wait until the day you are sure you are missed your period. If you expected it today and it's not here yet, you can test today. You may get a false negative, however. Sometimes you can get your period and still be pregnant.
