KOBE! he still has some time to grow, which i think he more than displayed this past season, even if they didn't go far as a team. shaq, is old and very near the end of his career. if you asked me a few years ago, i would have said shaq was by far the best player in the nba, but not even close anymore.

Just depends on what you mean. Right now Kobe is considered a better individual player than Shaq. But Shaq always plays for a championship team and that is what makes him good.

you cant really compare both of them because Kobe is a 2 Guard and Shaq Diesel is a center. Thats like asking whos better Steve nash or karl malone. You cant .You could ask whos better dwayne wade or kobe. but you cant compare them.
Anyway Shaq is more dominant and a presance. Shaq has been to the finals many more times then kobe. and kobe needs a low post scorer to depend on.
You could say Ohhh but kobe got 81 points!!!!! But Shaq won a ring without kobe

Kobe is better but isnt a team player and likes the spotlight. Shaq is slower and cant handle the ball as well but shaq isnt like kobe and is a team player. Basically the other one has what the other one needs.
