i seriously doubt it. the bush administration just vetoed federal funding of any new stem cell research. but i agree with 'compboy'. the next boom will come from the work done by the human genome project. if you're talking about biotechnology in general as the next wave i think that won't come to fruition either. outdated morals(embryonic stem cells) and politcal sustenance(global warming) too often get in the way of scientific progress in this country
