I tried to upgrade from win 2000 to win xp and I jus got a lotta errors like couldnot find some files and now it just restarts and I think its because I said upgrade and not install now the pc jus restarts

You might be faced with a complete reformat. Assuming you still have your Windows 2000 OS on the hard drive, put your Windows XP upgrade CD in the drive. Shut down the computer.
Restart your computer holding down the Control key.
Chose boot from CD and let setup program run.
When complete, shut down computer and wait about 5 minutes then restart. This should add all that you are missing and run ok.

Instert cd, reboot pc, boot from cd not hard drive. Re-install windows
