I believe they would not have made it. In fact I think it's obvious that they would not.

Yes. It is a team sport. Portugal, England, Brazil, Spain and the Ukraine all have players supposedly the best in the world but they didn't get as far as France. Zidane played a big part, but they would have got there anyway. Now it is possible that they lost the final when Zidane went out.

Well, they do have other great players like Thierry Henry, but Zidane really did carry France to the final. He was amazing at this World Cup, it's very sad they lost the way they did. Zidane will be missed!

Without Zidane dominating in the mid, Henry would have took charge and France would yet have put on a good show, better or worse, we'll never know, now that he's retired let's see how France handles, then we could say somethin

no. france was struggling in the qualifying matches. they were the last in their group. they were even behind israel. but after zidane, makelele and thuram returned, france made their wqay to the top. zidane was not so bright in the group stage of the world cup. but in the 2nd round, france have to give him credit for their win against spain. vieira scored from his free kick and zidane himself scored in the 92nd minute. then in the quarter final, almost everyone thought that brazil will win, but again Brazil lost to zidane. he showed some amazing footwork and skills in the match and henry scored from his wonderful free kick. then in the semi final, he scored the penalty. and in the final he put france ahead in the 7th minute with the best penalty kick in the tournament. so without zidane, france probably would not have reached the final.

nope because zidane was their go to guy. he was the one who scored or helped score most of the goals...and a lot of people like the players were saying that if zidane was there they would of won which isnt true.
