I suggest Bare Escentuals (Bare Minerals). They have foundations for ALL skin colors, and they work VERY well. I suggest you use their Warm Deep. Also, you would do well with a metallic colored shadow. That's what will be in style this fall. Nude Beach is a great color through Bare Minerals.

just search by brand.
You can also purchase at most Nordstrom's stores.

as for eyeshadow use bronze and gold colors they look gorgeous on darker people stay away from silver and white i dont like them on dark skin tones at all! besides the gold will brng ur eyes out! fondation i guess you could use covergirl they have the best but i would recomend using pressed powder instead, clinique has the best sheer pressed powder and it comes in all shades. all of theyre make up is great but a bit expensive. if ur on a budget cover girl and revlon should do just as well!

i am black woman with fair skin and the shadow i wear is, light pink, light blue, golden brown, and black. If youre darker than gabrielle union, then try to avoid bright light colors. try dark colors like black, drk brown, or somting of the two.

I'm black and like a caramel color. Someone suggseted H.I.P. by Loreal and it isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd say use covergirl foundation and a golden shimmery eye shadow. Go to Rite Aid, because if the color isn't right for you, they'll let you exchange it.

I like pinks and purples on brown-skinned women. Check out Oprah and see how she does her make-up. She wears lots of neutral colors. Avon has a nice line of foundations for all skin colors. You can go online to www.avon.com if you don't have a local rep.

Can't help you with foundation, but purple eyeshadows look good on dark-skinned women.
