You may also want to call/write Hallmark and ask if they have someone, with an existing store, in your city, that they want to sell. I heard of someone that got a Hallmark franchise that way.

Hallmark stores are a franchise, so the prices differ from one store to another. I go to a local store that sells at $11.00 (and $7.00 for Lil Kinz) each. Two other stores keep increasing their prices, so you have to pay $3 to $5 more each if you buy from them. Still it's better than buying online I guess.

I would check out the Hallmark website and contact them. It's usually very expensive since you are buying all of the fixtures, marketing materials, knick-knacks as well as the cards. Incidentally, the Hallmark Store in my town (pop.15,000) recently went out of business due to the "World's Largest Retailer" setting up shop about 2 miles away ....I would advise you to be very careful and think it through..
