Travel just up the road to Hollingworth Lake,on a nice day its a good place to visit,with a few good pubs round the lake where you can sit and have pint or a meal and enjoy the view.

Not a lot - try nearby Bury for a large town or Manchester for a city, both have plenty to see and do.
