I installed a new graphic card on my laptop. I connected it to the internet and it searched for an installed the driver automatically. How do I get the driver manually so that when I need to install the driver again in the future and don't have internet access, I can still install it manually.

This is where all recent drivers are posted! Take care though! Many are in beta stage! But you'll also find the original drivers as well! Depending on the chipset, choose the driver you want to download!

Drivers are not released for a specific graphic card!

All the drivers you download are saved to a certain area on your hard drive. Go back to the website and see what they named the file. Then search your computer for that file. Once you have found the files, store them on some type of external storage device, like a usb or cd. You should be able to access these files later, when you want to run them again you just need to run the .exe file of the driver package. Goood Luck

Go to the card manufacturers website and download it from there. Just a tip from personal experience, I have only had trouble with one kind of update from the Microsoft website ever. But every problem was with one of their updates for a video card. Use with caution, or better yet, only use the manufacturers drivers.

If you didn't already, save it to a file. (Go back to the site again and download it if you didn't.)

Make a new folder and put it in there for later use. Then when installing without internet, have windows look (browse) at that folder.
