Will the western world survive this recent onslaught of terror and it's enormous costs? Are the pacifist, bleeding heart, anti-Bush (a.k.a Pro-extremist sympathisers...same thing) going to be the straw that Syria, Iran, North Lorea and Osam-Bin Laden need to bring the Western world to it's knees? Causing the collapse of democracy and freedom as we know it?

I don't think so. I think we need to find a way to replace the reglious intolerance shown by fundamentalists of ALL religions with moderation. That includes fundamentalist Christians, as well as fundamentalist Muslims.
The world is a very dangerous place, made more so by the mindset that it is "my way or the highway".
I think that the moderate Arab states recognize this, and that is why they are not jumping on Israel over the Gaza Strip or Lebanon. They have, however, asked for restraint.
Is the world coming to an end? I don't think so. There are a few "eight balls" like North Korea, al Qaida, Hezbollah and the like that could precipitate world calamity if things don't change, however.
The world will survive ... but I think by the time this is all done ... it will have changed significantly.

It will only collapse as far as God allows it to collapse.
It's all part of the end times scenerio that must play out. Things will reach the point where we are at the brink of everything falling apart and right at our most vulnerable, the Antichrist will show up playing God, pretending to be the world's savior and will gain the worship he desires by bringing what he will try to convince us is our best hope for 'peace and security' financially, spiritually and militarily.
Unfortunately, the majority of the world will fall for the fraud, I hope you don't now that you've been warned.

Quit being so chicken! We're a lot stronger and more advanced than those savages that hit here and there around the world, in isolated incidents. You need to get a spine.

Nothing will "bring us to our knees." We're tough, we can take it. Maybe we're going through some crappy times right now but we've been through worse and lived to tell about it.
