I'd love to write about politics, sports, tv, or movies. I already publish a pop-culture blog. But why do it for free when I can make a living with it. Hopefully, I'll be able to hang up my apron forever, and never serve another table. *fingers crossed*

Talk to some editors from online sites. Really it all depends on the type of writing you are looking for. If you are looking for basic stuff on sites explaining detail just contact some big sites and see if they will give you contacts. If you want to do publishing as in such a online book club or such, then the same go on those types of sites and get contacts. Basically you need to know how to get contact info and use communication. It's worth the try to get the job you want.

liking to do something and being good at it are two very different things as I'm sure you are aware. Getting a job that will actually pay you money requires you to have an education and or references to break in. Being a columnist is free if you have a readership and you can get money from ads depending on if you have a good following. If you think you are good, create your own website where you write columns and get some sponsors by shopping your site around. Those sponsors will put banners up on your pages and you need to support them by advising your readers to click on your sponsors. They will give you more money for each click. So. If you want to do it this way, you are taking a risk and will be poor for a long time. But if you have an education, you may be able to leverage yourself and get picked up by a major site as one of thier columnists and eventually become powerful in your field. But it helps to have that education and write about something you are an expert on.

You have to have an angle, something different that stands out. There are a million people just like you with nothing interesting to say. Make a name for yourself, get noticed and put your own spin on things. Other then that Count Chocula, good luck!

hardly anybody makes money writing on the internet, unless their writing is also published somewhere else too. You can only get people to subscribe to your online writings if you also sell nude pictures of yourself as well as used panties. Sorry, but that's just the way it is. Information on the internet just wants to be free.
