I'm going there in like 2 days to visit my family, I live in New Jersey so everything is completly different....does anyone know anything cool there besides the beach that will keep me entertained?

You acn easily catch a train to other communities along the Pacific. Most of these are less than an hour away:
San Juan Capistrano, CA (SNC) - mission etc.
San Clemente, CA (SNP) - nice waterfront
Oceanside, CA (OSD) - Legoland etc.
Solana Beach, CA (SOL) - cool design center ..etc
San Diego - Old Town Train Station, CA (OLT)
San Diego, CA (SAN)

I live in Laguna Beach, there are cool things to do here, depends on if you are on a budget. If you are not, you should go to the hotel Surf N Sand, great views, really luxurious. great food. Walking on the beach is great, going up the Laguna Hills, for the view is also great, the mall, walking, cafes, its just a little town so, thats about it. Laguna Beach is part of Orange county and there is plenty to do... for shopping go to Newport Fachion Island or for the evening ... Irvive Spectrum.... Downtown Disney is only about a 25 minute drive away. So just go online and explore.

downtown has an quaint shopping district. There's the Las Brisas restaurant that's excellent for an oceanside meal.
