A robot may say "Does not compute" and blow up in your face. Webster's New World Dictionary defines it as 1 "strong affection of liking for someone or something. 2 A passionate affection of one person for another. 3 The object of such affection; a sweetheart or lover. 4 A tennis score of zero. --Make love 1 to woo, embrace, etc. 2 To have sexual intercourse.
I dont believe that love can be pinpointed so hastily and the only ones who can understand love are those that have loved.

Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are.

Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.

"Love is patient, love it kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always persevered. Love never fails...."

If you are wondering where you find that great definition of Love you can look it up in the Bible in 1Corinthians 13:4-8.

Pain, hope, kissing, sex, laughing, crying, fighting, cooperation, understanding, hurting, touching. What I feel in my heart every day for my husband runs the gambit. What I do know is that without his love, without having this bond between us my life would be alot emptier. Love is what feels the void and makes us whole.
