I am filling out an application for the Postal service , its for a part-time rural carrier postion . My drivers record isn't the best should I be up front with them ? I don't have too much work experience and I have been fired before for missing too many days , however I was sick due to pregnancy at that time. Also I do use marijuana , if I pass the interview whats the best way to detox?

For one, do NOT lie on the application. That's grounds for dismissal after the fact, even if you get hired initially. Answer the questions truthfully; that doesn't mean that you have to put EVERYTHING on the table. If you really have a question you don't want to answer directly write, "Will discuss in interview." Then it's up to them to ask you about it - be prepared to give your explanation. As for the weed, if you smoke a lot it's going to take a good month to get out of your system. You could try an OTC drug passing kit, but some testing labs test for the agent that masks the drugs as well. Time is your best option. Drinking a lot of water could dilute the results, but they may or may not let you take another test.

Wow girl you go a lot going on. First off.. detox before doing anything. It normally takes 30 days for the budda to get out of your system. As far as your driving history, they will pull your driving record so there really is no point to alter or not put it. You might want to check your driving record at your DMV so you know what you are up against and you can explain what happened. If all else fails try an entry position some where else. Good luck :0)

You probably have to have a clean driving record for a job like that. Don't bother trying to hide your record, they can do a background check and find out anyway. The government is doing *extensive* security and background checks on employees and job applicants now.

be honest even if you get hired without telling the truth the ps may discover it later and terminate you and youll have another issue to explain theyre very through.
your best bet is to get in the military for a while this will have the effect of clearing your record and you can ascribe these issues to lack of maturation.

dont worry too much i dont think youll get hired with so many red flags in you dossier.

Do NOT put anything bad about yourself on the app...employers can't "shoot you down" only verify your employment and the dates of it...

Accept you'll have to quit sparking to get a GOOD job...drink H20 and look online for enzyme detox products (including shampoos)

If they ask what your driving record is like, than yes you should be honest because they will probably check it themselves so then you will just be embarassed when they confront you for lying.
