They eat too much. an avergae american uses 25 barrels of oil per annum. much of the world export is imported by them. is this a trend that should be taken seriously that may lead to catastrophic ends? obesity, depletion of oil reserves, trade imparity, etc.

We consume to much because its so easy to. Every restaurant has a drive thew. you mean I dint even have to get out of my car to eat? In the grocery store I cant by a 2 pack of hot dogs knowing I will not eat 4-12 of them. Americans waist alot cause we can, and society makes it easy for us!!!

Obesity will take care of most of the problem Heart attack victims won't be burning oil to go to McDonalds or to buy Chinese crap from Walmart. Then your country can scrabble for the left-overs.

Because most Americans are blissfully unaware of how the goods and services are delivered to them or how they affect themselves or the world. Most seem to feel entitled to these things that are killing us and the world we will leave behind. This is good time to start asking these questions before it is too late.

You are failing to notice that we actually make and pay for almost everything that we consume.
If we were to stop doing so you could watch the economy of the entire world dry up.

America has more buying power than a lot of other countries so we can afford our gluttony . If another country had more buying power it would probably be the same for them.
