I guess its in danger of becoming obese b/c im 5'6 158 lbs and the doc said you aren't fat but you could definately be halthy. Nothing to worry about just excercize and eat less junk.

A little bit. Your BMI is 27. The healthy range is between 18 and 25. Keep in mind that the BMI is a very general assessment, and that it does not take body type or composition into account (according to this, Arnold Schwarzenegger is obese).
How do you feel? Do you feel fit? If so, then you probably are. Do your knees twinge when climbing stairs? If so, then you probably are not.
Check your heart rate just after you wake up. Average resting heart rate is 60-70 bpm. Your maximum heartrate is 220bpm-your age (220-19=201, my max heart rate). Jog in place for a minute and see how close your heartrate is to its maximum relative to its resting rate. The lower it is, the better your cardiac health is. And if you have good cardiac health, then chances are that you're healthy.

You don't give your gender, but, as a woman, it's 100 pounds up to 5 foot and five pounds for each additional inch.
You could afford to lose 35-40 pounds.

There's some site on yahoo health/fitness that can tell you if you're within the weight limits.
But in my opinion, 175 for 5'8" is not too fat.. believe me.

First we do not know your gender, and secondly, it up to you. How do you feel, are you comfortable with yourself. Personally i think that weight is fine. Most of the time if you go by the charts, the people are thin and shapeless, Thats just my opinion though.
