Okay, take deep breaths.
First, if you had been bitten, you'd know it. A fire ant's bite is truly a painful experience, and one which you'd know happened to you. If you didn't feel anything, then you weren't bitten.
Ants, like us, come in a variety of colors and shapes. A red ant is not automatically a fire ant, so ask around to see if there have been any fire ant sightings in your part of the country, and if so then exercise some caution when digging amidst ants.
But for now, you're fine.

It wasn't a fire ant or you would know you were stung. You are OK if you don't hurt. Ants sting by biting you, and some have venom that really hurts, and some don't. You were lucky. Stay away from ants.

Please be careful as fire ant stung is quite difficult to deal with. I heard from my friend that it is poisonous. I am not sure about that. U should feel the pain by now if u have got biten. Use a antiseptic first then go see a family doctor or pharmist immediately.
Take care!

call the exterminator and go to wal-mart and get a tube of
chigger x
the exterminator kills the ants (your bulder probbly covers the cost if your home is less than 5 years old) and you rub chigger x on the stings to stop the itch the horibble horrible itch (DO NOT SCRACH THE HORRABLE HORRABLE ITCH, RUB CHIGGER X ON IT OR YOU WILL HAVE BIG RED SPOTS ALL OVER YOUR LEGS)
CHIGGER X IS IN THE PHarmicy department of any store, but wal-mard and the fire ants area are in just about the same places, loo for a white bottol with a red top

If you had been stung by a fire ant, you would have a small bump with like a puss head on it. You would definitely know if you were bit, and you would more than likely had more than one on you!

ants bite.....
are you wanting to know how to stop the stinging?
ammonia dabbed on it works so does baking soda mixed with water to make a paste
plus....
to get rid of the ants try some
borax mixed with a bit of sugar to give them they will
die from borax
there are ant killers which can be eaten by the worker ants and taken back to the nest to kill the whole ant colony

I was bit by a fire ant, and trust me you would know.
It hurts, it would swell and you get like a little white puss spot where the sting is. They can't hurt you by just crawling on you.
But you would know if your bitten, it is quite painful.
