Of course! Actions are seeds. I've seen single instances blossom in countless directions. I remember that one single encounter with someone, and my action of deciding to give them an audience despite the negative context in which they were seen by others, changed the course of my life and hundreds of others as well. I'm always looking around me, seeing how things are and retracing everyone's interactions to single points of divergence. People also affect the things around them simply by how they perceive them. "We shape the world with our thoughts". Action taken based on perceptions moves things toward that perception.

Nope, there are billions of other people who might've done things already and it won't be considered important if I did it. I want to do something that no one has ever done before. It's hard to actually think of one when there are billions of brains out there. I think if we all had money, we'd could affect the world. If anyone can contain nuclear fusion, then it would affect the world. If anyone could stop global warming, then it would affect the world. However, I can affect the people around me, but not the world. My friend told me a story one time and I thought it affected her world. She was a prostitute one time and she came running to my friend's pastor about everything and they started to chit-chat. After a few years, she came back and thanked the pastor so much because now, she's an accountant and her other side was gone. Maybe you can't affect the world around you, but you can sure affect the world for people around you.

Yes it does. How much it affects the world depends on how the "world" reacts to it.
For instance. If a stranger gave me water right now I would thank them and think that was a nice, conservative thing to do. If a stranger gave water to a person lost in the desert, it could save a life.
here's another A teacher tells a mother that her child scraped their knee and "he'll be alright".
A doctor tells a mother that her child has survived an operation to replace his liver and "he'll be alright"
The world may not mean much to you. But you may mean the world to someone.

Absolutely! I volunteer and donate to charities as I can, but what I think really makes a difference is how you live your life. I choose to live my life as a good person. I don't intentionally hurt other people, I'm not rude, if someone needs a hand I'll help out. If we could all just live as good people the world would be an entirely different place!

Q:Do you feel that what you do is affecting the world around you?
A: It is my sole purpose in life to simply serve as a warning to others.
Q: How do you bring change to the world?
A: I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow is not looking good either. Perhaps the day after that I can help.

Hopefully in my own little part of it! Working in a high school, I try to be open to listen to kids who seem to need an adult ear. Writing a local free-lance column in the newspaper, I try to focus on people in the community who are doing positive things. We can all contribute to making the world a better place...the ways don't have to be earth-shattering, but every little action counts.

Sure. Everything we do has a impact in some way. Maybe what we do only effects a family member or friend or a random person on the street.. But they all effect someone else. Its like a chain reaction.

I, by myself, can't change the world, so I try to make a difference to those around me, by being kind.

Yes. If by moving one grain of sand to ease the way to better understanding; I have done something to help.
I donate food to help feed the ones that are hungry.
I help sit with others.
I try to influence the younger people to really think before deciding.
One little step at the time;
I try to defeat discouragement.

I suppose the influences are for those people who interacts and work with me. I cannot change the world.
