For me it was Mexico '70, won by Brazil, because:
- Football was still very open and allowed great offensive plays.
- The Brazilian team was a goal scoring machine full of amazing players, the same goes for the Itlalian team.
- The winner on the final would keep the Jules Rimmet cup for ever, there was a lot at stake.
- According to FIFA the 'Match of the Century' was played during that tournament (Italy v. Germany)

For me, the 1998 World Cup in France was the best. I was only 11 years old at the time, and that was the first time I actually paid attention to football. France were really the underdogs against Brazil in the final, and I liked their fighting spirit. That last goal, scored by the French player Petit, I think was his name...it was a great finale to a wonderful game.

Mexico 1986. Becuase it was during my first year in college and I was able to go to Mexico City during the actual final. Argentina won and for at least one afternoon/evening every brown face around me was an Argentina fan. We partied with 4 girls from Argentina because they thought it was cool that we, my friend and I, spoke English. We had a great time.
As far as a fan, I would have to say France 1998 because Mexico came out of nowhere to tie for their group lead and advance to the Round of 16.

THIS WAS THE BEST WORLD CUP FOR ME CUS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MANY YEARS OF TRYING MY LITTLE COUNRTY OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO QUALIFED AND PLAYED VERY WELL TOO. OH ITALY WON
