you must throw away your milk lol, now you want to delete old files along with all off line content, this can be accomplished from the same screen. Then it is a good idea to erase your history and change the number of days to save to 1 or 0. Now do a disk clean up from start>accesories>systemtools>disk clean up, then follow the same steps and do a disk defragment.. Then you should run some good spyware. Ad-Aware is free and good. Now make sure you have some virus protection and keep your pc clean by compleating these steps once or twice a week except for the defragment which could be done every month or so.. when doing the disk clean and the defrag make sure you check peserrio c. Any questions, give me a e-mail

Cookies are just markers put there by sites you have visited so that the next time you want to go there, it will be quicker. However, they do pile up and take up a lot of room. Also, it is my understanding, that if you downloaded a free application, for example, and removed their cookie, the application may not work correctly next time. For example, I downloaded some medical advise , copied the graphics, and saved it to a file. I deleted the cookies. Next time I opened the file, the graphics were red "X" -- no graphics.

Honestly, that stuff doesn't amount to a lot. Uninstall programs that you really do not use, run the Disk Defragmenter, and then see how it works. If you still have the same problem after you do all of those things, your computer may simply be too full. You might need more RAM, more hard drive space, a faster processor, or even a new operating system. (Depends on what you have now.)

Also delete your Temporary Internet Files - go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete Temp Internet Files and select Delete All Offline Content.
You computer stores all the internet pictures and links that you click on in these random temporary folders, and it can add up to a lot of files. You should do this, plus the cookie thing, at least weekly.

It could also be helpful to defragment your computer and to check through and delete any files that you do not need. If you have a PC, go to control panel under the start menu. Then go to performance and maintenance. Under that you should find "rearrange items..." and "free up space on your hard disk." You'll want to do both of these things if you haven't already. It's a good idea to do these things every couple of weeks. Oh, and empty your recycling bin.

Nothing adverse will happen. It is wise to clear out your cookies and temp internet files every now and again.
The only difference you may see is that if any of your passwords were saved onto your hard drive e.g. autofill for e-mails or ebay or something, they may have disapeared as this info is often stored as cookies.
Hope that helps.

You might notice some improvement in web surfing, but overall any site you visited on a regular basis (i.e hotmail, yahoo mail, ect) will require you to log back.
One thing you can consider in regards to making your computer run more smoothly is to max out your memory or at least add some memory, clean up your desktop and remove any programs you don't use at all.
Update all programs and do your regular maintenance/clean up. I hope this helps....

Download CleanUp! because it deletes every temporary file on your computer. That includes cookies and a lot more. There are also many more steps obviously but this is a good start.

who told you deleting cookies would make your PC run faster? You need to do more than that. Check out the website below.

Get a kit from the grocery store and a cookie sheet and make some more.
Actually do nothing. The cookies will recreate themselves as long as you have cookies enabelled.
