My friends baby snorts a lot...like a little piggie! He is only 2 weeks old but I think it's a bit weird. He does it a lot when he is eating or crying. Is this normal?

yup totally normal. all babies make weird noises. snorts, squeaks, grunts, loud breaths are all ones i've heard from my kids.

It's normal. Their airway is still very little, so the snorting sounds is the baby taking in more oxygen.

If its not then something must have been wrong with my little guy. He did it ALL THE TIME when he was just a lil' guy. I wouldnt worry about it!
Just think about how tiny their little noses and sinuses are and when they are excited or crying or eating it makes it difficult to breathe normally, plus they are still adjusting to breating on the outside, you know?
Dont worry its normal :o)

it is totally cool. it is fine. just because they are babies doesnt mean that they are not a human being. adults, kids everybody can and does snort.
