I'm not even talking about Iraq or Isreal or any war... I'm talking about situations like Hurricane Katrina. I heard NOTHING out of them... it's like the Little Red Hen story... just sit back and let everyone else do the work and if something goes wrong they can wash their hands of it byt saying "We didn't think that was the right thing to do to begin with".

I do not know. But in my experience, Democrats usually promote bigger government, higher taxes, and let the government solve your problems. We see how the government responded to the Hurricaine Katrina tragedy.

Quite honestly, I think there is a better balance, where the government should seek to only do what individuals (or the individual states) cannot reasonably do for themselves, like national defence.

Raising taxes...bigger gov't is the Democrats story...and that is nothing new.

Undertand that it is the Republican party that has failed Katrina victims. Democrates are more about doing than tossing questions out about this. If they did raise their voice, then they would be guilty about using Katrina victims for political purposes. No, I think they are doing it right. Let George and this self absorbed, self-interested congress be remembered for their selfishness and greed... It's what they wanted. The Republicans have the power, control, and money to do what needs to be done. There is no twisting this around and laying it on the Democrates... The Republicans have shown they don't need the Democrates... now prove it. You need to sit back and try and set aside your bias and take a good hard look at those you support

Don't blindly listen to radio talk shows and all that other crud out there. Nothing's worse than a brainwashed republican spouting the same old rhetoric. Follow through and actually check out a politician's history when it comes to voting or even better, write to their office and ask what they proposed during that time period, and what their future issues are.

Hm, Bush sat in a room with school children for seven-minutes while America was under-attack. How long did it take Bush to respond to the crisis in New Orleans? I'm no Democrat, but get your head out of your ***. Two sides of the same coin, man. I'm not quite sure what you expect Democrats to do, could you please elaborate? Last time I checked, the Republicans were in charge...
