I take carbimazol (the opposite to Thyroxine for overactive thyroids) and I'm not allowed to give blood until my treatment is over. However, I will only be taking it for a year or so, whereas most people take Thyroxine for life. Best to check with your doctor, or the National Blood Service (www.blood.co.uk) and fill in their on line query form.
Hope that helps!

I gave blood when I was on anti depressants but I'm not sure about thyroxine. Ask next time you go to give blood and they will let you know whether you can donate or not.
