No, there's just a lot of dumb people in the world who just don't
get it.

You know; I find myself sitting at my desk thinking the same thing, and I believe that yes a sense of humor is going into extinction. The people I work with are too caught up in paper work and phone calls that they don't even take a minute to say good morning let alone talk. I try here and there to lift the mood but no one joins in and the conversation ends in silence. I mean I may not be the funniest person alive but seriously, I wish everyone would take a moment to relax and enjoy the company of other humans! Good question!

Personally, I doubt political correctness is an issue the way others *harp on it* and say it is....like any other form of censorship, if folks *need* to tell a funny, they *will* find ways around it....

Mainly I just think it is the times, people are so stressed out with current events and worried that they might wake up in a *dictatorship* tomorrow (for whatever reason, ok?), and freaked out over how half the planet wants them dead over things they have *next to nothing to do with*, and well, you tell me...

Is there a punch line to a joke that is going to be funny when there's *no hope for the future*?

Honestly. When people, whole nations, stop being such Social Darwinist Greed-Heads and stop treating their fellow man like so much *roadkill* worldwide, regardless of declared faith or economic development, then maybe people will relax some and laugh again.

Maybe. If we aren't all dead soon. Because that death thing is kinda hard to get over, all word from the hyenas to the contrary.

No but Political Correctness is catching on more and more and things that were a joke years ago are insults or harassments now.

In workplaces envirionments and such a sense of humor can often be a liability since one joke percieved the wrong way might result in some sort of harassment or defamation suit.

I think it's good humor that's going into extinction, not so much our sense of humor. We are reduced to toliet and sex humor, because anything else becomes "offensive." Things just aren't as funny anymore.

It is a sign of the times.

In today's world, we as a people are all too worried about
offending someone, taking away someones rights or forcing
our views on others.
