The English Royals who are on the Civil List are paid for their assistance in running and raising money for charities and schools,as well as for performing traditional Royal duties.Save the Children,UNICEF,the Ballet,many hospitals and senior citizen's organizations are some of the concerns that benefit from the few Royals who are on the Civil List.Not all of the Royal Family are:it's just the Queen and Prince Phillip;they give funds to their children,except for Charles who makes an income form the Duchy of Cornwall.All other Royals must work,and do.The Civil List was re-done years ago(1992),removing most of the people who were on it and requiring that the Queen pay taxes.
Not all Royals are paid for being Royal.Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece and his brother Nicolas run their own investment firm.Others have stock investments.Many are on boards of major businesses(Prince Michael of Kent is on several).

I don't get your question! Um... I think you're exaggerating.... and anyhow, Prince Bigears gets his revenue from his land, which, yes I know, comes from the people, but at least it's earned, kind of. I think that only HM Queen and Prince Philopolopoulos should be on the civil list though, seeing as HM is the Queen... that didn't make much sense, but I'm just stooping down to your level here... lol

Well you have to see both sides of the story. I'm not by any means a royal fan and i am not really bothered what goes on with them, I understand your concern about money but they do a lot of work for charity, and in promoting this country and its businesses abroad. so if you way it up then i think it is better to have them than not to have them.

they don't do nothing...in the states they have a president, this means once elected if he makes a decision then it goes, whereas in Britain if our prime minister makes a decision then he has to run it by the queen, for this reason alone i think the are a necessity to this country.
