Just because Hollywood makes a movie about something doesnt mean that is what Americans think or believe. They are movies, not real life.
Movies are fantasy and make believe.
I always thought that the Brittish lived in Flats or a house like everyone else.

It's a problem, I agree. Films tend to give people a false sense of a nation's character. It works the other way round too, i.e., British perceptions of America ... I grew up watching films which gave me the impression that Americans were either hugely rich and lived in enormous houses (with servants) or were gun-toting gangsters.
P.S. "An Englishman's home is his castle".

And all this time, I thought ALL Brits were wealthy. I am so glad you set me straight....I never could figure out how you would heat one of those monstrosities. But if you live in a flat, where does your butler stay??? I KNOW all Brits have a butler, and usually a valet.

Nope, I would think there would be normal neighborhoods with lawns and swing sets and only 2 car garages. Kind of like where I live in the USA.

Haha dont get angry, but Americans do treat all others like that. Despite the fact that 67% Indians run Microsoft, but still they think that India is a old country. Come and see what India or for that matter every country is making progress !
Thanks
