It's deuce, as in coupe... but I usually though its said douche... once I learned what a douche was it embarrassed the hell out of me whenever I heard the song in public!

Revved up like a deuce. I heard an interview with the singer of Manfred Mans Earth Band years ago where he addresses this. He said that it was a problem in the mixing. To make the voice sound right they had to live with deuce, sounding like douche.

And she was blinded by the light
Cut loose like a deuce another runner in the night
Blinded by the light
She got down but she never got tight, but she'll make it alright

I think he says "revved up like a douche, another runner in the night". The song was originally written by Springsteen and was to say "revved up like a deuce.", as in 'little deuce coupe'. If you ever see Springsteen on VH1 Story Tellers, he talks about the song.

And she was Blinded by the light.
Revved up like a deuce,
another runner in the night.

A great place to check is www.letssingit.com because you can type in partial lyrics to the song you know, and it'll bring up the song and the full lyrics.

The song was written for the Manford Man Band by Bruce Springsteen, and a more explicit liric would be "over shoulder boulder holder"

It goes blinded by the light wrapped up like a deuce
Another runner in the night (repeat one time)

Madam drummers brummers indians in the summer
With a teenage diplomat. In the dumps with the mumps..........
Got it now? You also can go to my source

I believe that it's "dressed up like a deuce... another roller in the night." But i'm not totally sure about the last part!

I think it's wrapped up like a douche, like a roller in the night...

We can check that out...

Funny how people hear things so differently....

Here's one...

☻☺☻☺☻

I was riding in a taxicab this morning and there was a female dispatcher on the two-way radio. She was dispatching the cabs to various addresses and the usual dispatch chatter was going on. Suddenly, the dispatcher asked? ... Michael Hunt, are you out there... Mike? Do you read me? ... Mike Hunt, Mike Hunt... Come in.... Come In... Come in Mike Hunt.

I don't know why this is so funny to me- it was just a cab ride.

I couldn't stop laughing. I think something shot out of my nose!

He says "cut loose like a deuce"

The song was actually written by Bruce Springsteen. His version is a lot different.
