I am mainly going to be gaming with more real time strategy games like star wars empire at war, but I would like it to be able to handle somewhat decently future games like Command and Conquer 3 when it comes out next year. Not real huge 3d gamer. Any help is greatly apreciated the first 2 cards are ati mobility and the last 2 are nvidia go, Thanks again

the ge7900 would be the best, but Dell doesn't offer this card in the E1505, that card will be offered only in the E1705 (+$200 !!) or the top series XPS M1710 (standard or the gtx7900 for +???$).
relating to your question i suppose you're really thinking of the E1505 so keep in mind that the ge7300 as well as the X1400 are both a "fake" concerning the dedicated memory. both card have only 128MB onboard, the other 128MB will be shared with the main memory. i think, in the end you won't notice a big difference between them, so you can go for the cheaper X1400.
(on the Dell site click on "Help me choose" just below where you select the graphics card)

If you're thinking about doing ANY gaming buy the BEST video card you can afford. Unlike a Desktop computer, you CAN NOT simply replace the video card in a laptop! So, not only will it be best for now, it will help extend the usefulness of your laptop if you can afford to get the present day "state of the art" graphics card...

check out this link: (http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=39568)
it has great info on graphics cards for laptops.
If you want a short answer, my vote would go to the x1400.
Also, don't forget to have enough RAM. that can make a pretty big difference in games as well.

you really don't need the ge7900, i'd go with the x1400 or the ge7300, whatever is cheaper!

the 7900 is the best of the best, but the max you really need is the 7300
i would go for the cheapest, befcause those games are not hard core games

I'd second that. ATI unfortunately is behind in the grafix card race.
